He told me "man you just gotta ask people who are not having issues with the game that have good connections like yourself, I am one of them." He told me he did not install Disc 1 of Halo 4. Like I said before, they most definitely need to add a regional filter / "good-connection" filter much like Halo 3 and Reach but that is another topic for another day. So it brought me to the conclusion something was just wrong with the game.

Well, let me tell you, I have a 25 mbps Download speed, 4.2 upload speed, and a 12 ping. I tried getting responses on the forums and in the waypoint forums and people were saying things like this "LAWLS YOU HAVE A BAD CONNECTION BRO" and other things of that nature. I was so angry I took a break from Halo 4 (LOL, IKR). Now what made me come to this conclusion? Well, I had been lagging so bad or what I thought was lag for about 3 days straight. Try Matchmaking, Campaign, or Spartan Ops (Whatever may have been giving you issues with the lag). Uninstall Disc 1 of Halo 4 (I know, THEY SAY it increases performance but really it doesnt (I will discuss further down). These steps may provide help with issues with either "lag" or AKA "frame-rate lag": Yes, they need to fix the regional filter or add a better lag compensation filter but that is not the topic of discussion for right now. Worth a shot if you ask me, because this simple solution seemed to work for me. The proposed solution is more of a suggestion and something simple to do that does not take time nor does it guarantee a fix. I found something that could potentially be useful to some of you that may be experiencing game-breaking lag or frame rate issues. Same rules apply with all my posts: Do not flame, rage, bad manner me or anyone else, and please for the love of gosh do not skip over reading the posts and put ignorant / unwelcome comments. Therefore, do not come on here bashing what I said and telling me facts I already know (Such as Microsoft "SAYS" that installing discs on the HD improves performance) I KNOW THE FACTS and am not making anything up. However, we don’t know whether the game suffers from the same framerate issues that plagued Halo Anniversary.Įnjoy the following comparison screenshots.Disclaimer: I took time and effort to give knowledge I did not have to give to the community. Owners of G-Sync monitors should also used unlocked framerates as the game can look a bit “choppy” at 60fps. Naturally, the game also displays proper K&M on-screen indicators. Additionally, 343 Industries has fixed some audio issues that plagued the game’s beta build. We also did not experience any mouse smoothing or acceleration issues.

This basically means that the game can run silky smooth on a wide range of PC configurations. Halo 2 Anniversary Remaster is capped at 60fps, and our RTX2080Ti was used at only 60% in 4K/Max settings.

We also used Windows 10 64-bit and the latest version of the GeForce drivers.Īs you can clearly see, our RTX2080Ti had no trouble at all running the game. Naturally, we’ve paired this machine with an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti.

In order to capture these screenshots, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz. Not only that, but 343 Industries has implemented new CG cut-scenes that look fantastic. The new lighting system, in particular, significantly improves the game’s visuals. Contrary to the first Halo Remaster, this one is better in every way from its original version. As such, we’ve decided to share some 4K comparison screenshots between the vanilla and the remaster versions. Halo 2 Anniversary features new 3D models, a new lighting system, new textures/assets and more. Microsoft and 343 Industries have just released Halo 2 Anniversary Remaster on the PC.
